Windows are an important part of any room as they allow natural light to enter and air ventilation. Sash windows are instantly recognisable, they are usually longer in length than they are in width, they may also feature astragal (Georgian) bar designs in-keeping to the period the property was first constructed.
A sash catch is the catch (pictured above) that can be opened to allow you to slide the window up or closed when the window is shut. Catches in new windows come with special sash keys in order to lock the catch and increase the security of your property.
Sash catches are a key design feature as they can be seen from the interior of a room and can be matched to existing décor as they are available in a wide range of finishes from both our timber and uPVC suppliers.
Timber sash catches are available (from L-R) in Polished Brass, Mottled Antique Brass, Oil Rubbed Bronze, Antique Petwer, Satin Nickel, Satin Chrome, Polished Chrome and Polished Stainless Steel.
uPVC sash catches are available in Polished Brass, Antique Pewter, Polished Chrome, Black and Satin Chrome. They also come in three different designs Acorn, Beehive and Porcelain (not available on the entire collection).
